A Splash Logo

Skill Level: Basic

| (1) Create a 600x200 canvas in photoshop. |
(2) Pick a color of your own preference and use
the paint bucket tool
to fill the canvas with that color. I filled mine with pink. |

(3) Switch to the channels path and create a new channel.

(4) Draw a rectangle using the rectangle tool, .
Fill it with white using the paint bucket tool again. Now, click on Filter,
Pixelate, Color Halftone. Set the maximum radius to 20.

(5) Go back to the layer window, click on the background
layer and make a new layer using the create new layer tool, .
Click on Select, Load Selection and select the Alpha 1 layer which you
just created in the channels window. Fill it with white.

| (6) Double click on the layer to edit the layer style. Click
on Drop Shadow in the layer style window and click on Bevel and Emboss and
Contour. |

(7) Create a new layer and type some text on it. Move the text
to the middle of the splash border by using the move tool, .
Create a selection of the text by holding Ctrl and left clicking on the
text layer. Now click on the layer with the splash border and press Delete.
Turn off the text layer by clicking on the eye icon, . |

| (8) Almost done. Click on Filter, Texture, Mosaic Tiles. Set
the values according to those shown below and click OK. |
