Creating a simple interface

| These interfaces can make a webpage look and feel much more professional. | ||||
| 1. Firstly create a new canvas of the appropriate size approx 600 x 400. | ||||

| 4. Press Ctr + Click on the layer which has the ellipse to select the ellipse. | ||||
| 5. Go to select toobar and click modify, and then contract. Contract the
selected layer by 5 pixels. |

| 8. select the layer you have just filled and press Ctr + left click to select the black fill image. Create a new layer and contract the selection by 5 pixels as done in step 5. | ||||

| 10. Double click the layer with the horizontal bar and put a gradient
overlay. Repeat this method for the ellipse and the inner ellipse. |

Experiment around with the colours to produce the gradient overlay of your choice

The figure above were the gradient settings that I used. A good interface can grab the attention of a web surfer and is a good tool to use to convey important infomation about you site. |
