A MORE ADVANCED EXAMPLE
Here is a way to create "TV" look without too much hassle.
|
| 1. Open the image you'd like to use with the technique. |
 |
| 2. Create a new Layer (this is important) and Fill the new
layer with the Pattern as we did above. (If your image does not exactly
fit into the whole canvas then you may want to click while holding your
<CTRL> Key on the layer with the image to create a perfect selection
and then go back to your new layer) |
3. Does it look too dark? Right click the new layer and select LAYER OPTIONS.
Then decrease the opacity until it is at an acceptable level. I have reduced
the opacity to 50% in the following example.
|
 |
4. The last step may be to create an attractive looking border to use
with the effect.
|
 |
| This technique can be very handy and can look great in banners
and tour pages. As I said above, do not limit yourself to just black. You
can equally use white, or some shade of a color. Another good effect would
be to create the original line, but without "ANTI-ALIASING" ticked.
This can result in a cleaner look. |
