3D Techno Sphere

| Ever wondered how to create a 3D Computer generated sphere
effect? Well today im going to take you through step by step in creating
such an effect.
1. Create a new canvas 300x300 pixels. 2. Fill the background color in black with the PAINT BUCKET tool |

| 3. Make a new layer and select the ELLIPTICAL MARQUEE tool |

| 4. Using the Line tool |

| 5. On the same layer repeat process 4 but this time draw horizontal lines. | ![]() |
6. Next go to LAYER > Duplicate Layer. Now you have 2 copies of the circular mesh. Now go to the top layer and select FILTER > DISTORT > SPHERIZE. |

| 7. Set the amount to 100% as shown below. | ![]() ![]() |
| 8. Now go to the layer below it with the other mesh and select FILTER > DISTORT > SPHERE and set amount to -100%. This will give you the back half of the sphere. | ![]() |
| There you have it, a 3D techno sphere. | ![]() |
| *TIPS* If you want to create a true 3D image make the back of the sphere a darker tone of that at the front of the sphere so that it looks like each side is further apart. Bevel and emboss the lines to give it a more solid look and play around with the gradient and lighting effects for better contrast. |
