- Inner Glow (set colour to white).
10. Click on the gradient layer, and click on the Magic Wand Tool. Simply click inside the rectangle. That will selecting the inner rectangle. Click on to the new layer and select the Gradient Tools <G> and drag it from top to bottom.
11.Hold down <Ctrl> and right click the outer rectangle layer. Now you have a perfect selection on the rectangle. Create a new layer above the gradient layer and Edit>Stroke... Apply the following:

- Color: Black, Width: 1 pixel, Stroke: Outside.

Now you have completed a metal looking plate - all that's needed is a text bar in the plate.

12. Create a new layer, and click on the Rectangle Tools and drag a rectangle inside the plate and align the rectangle to fit in the middle on the plate as below.

13. Duplicate the layer the black rectangle layer by holding down and dragging that layer onto the Create New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers Window.

14. Hold down <Ctrl> and right click on the duplicated layer. Now you have the perfect selection of the black rectangle and then go to Edit>Fill..... White. Or set your background colour to white hold down <Ctrl> and press <Backspace>.

15. Click on the black rectangle layer, then go up to the layer effect and click in the arrow and select Soft Light. As Shown below:
16. Click on the white rectangle layer, and select the layer on Soft Light by following the Step 15.
17. Then go to Select>Deselect and either black or white rectangle layer and move around with it until you can get to the position you like. Like So:

This will give the plate an imprinted look on it.
18. Create a new layer, Click on the Rectangle Tools and make a new rectangle inside the imprinted looking box.
19. Now you can type in the text you want in to the text bar by selecting the Type Tools . You can use any fonts or colour you want. Play around with until you can find the right styles or fonts you like.
20. Then duplicate 3 text layers to make 4 layers and link the 4 text layers by clicking in the in row box until you see the chain appear on the box as shown below:

21. Hold down <Shift> and press The Right Arrow Key to the start of the black text box depending on which way you want the text to scroll to.
NB. If you want the text to move to the left then follow the above procedure. If you want the text to move to the right then vice-verser.

22. Now click on the chains and unlinks the layers. Click on the first text layer. Hold down <Shift> and press the Left Arrow key to move the text across the text box and remember to count how many time you've press for the text to completely move across the text box.

In this case my text take 41 times ( by holding down <Shift>) to move across the text box. Since we have 4 layer of text then we need to devide 41 by 4. The result will be approximately 10 times per layer.

23. Now you can try to move the text
- 1st layer 10 times
- 2nd layer 20 times
- 3rd layer 30 times
- 4th layer 40 times
Delete the text which will not appear on the text box for all 4 layers.

Like so:
24. Now you can simple save the images and by using the programme " GIF Animator" you can animates these 4 frames to make it scrolling and play around with it until you find the scrolling or affect you want. The result should be similar to the effect below:
